Previous tests to the final design of the bioenhancer production module
B.3. Development of industrial prototype for cultivation of algae
Tests are currently being carried out on lighting, ventilation, growth rates, and pre-final design of the bio enhancer production module.
These tests serve to properly adjust the capacity of the PV system which will power the module. The module in question will have a production capacity of 30m3 of bioenhancer algae, a volume that will be reproduced every 18-21 days. To reduce these times and achieve higher productivity the algae concentration is aerated with carbon dioxide (CO2). Also in the later stages of bioenhancer production the lighting will be increased using LEDs to deliver a higher concentration of algae.
The University of Burgos and Valladolid University teams are currently testing a 1m3 capacity tank to collect data later with which to design the full size module 30m3
This bioenhancer production module, along with the waste pre-treatment module constitutes the prototype of the project. A mobile prototype which can be transported between agribusiness. The LIFE + IntegralCarbon project will be implemented between the dairy industry in conjunction with COOLOSAR located in Caceres and the vineyards of the DO Uclés wine industry in Castilla La Mancha.
